If you’ve updated your company name or financial year start date in Xero, you’ll notice that BeanBox won’t pick up on these changes automatically.
This is because core organisational data like this is pulled across at the initial connection, but not for the normal daily sync or manual sync.
However, the good news is that it is easy to get BeanBox to pull updated organisational data.
Here are the steps:
- Go to your “My Companies” page – https://go.beanbox.app/connections
- Click “Add Company” button
- When you go to the Xero screen, you’ll add the same Xero organisation that is already connected to BeanBox. If you’ve only got one Xero subscription, then you won’t be given any other option. If you have more than one Xero subscription then you’ll need to pick the company name from the drop down.
- BeanBox will then reconnect the same company, but will pull through some of the details that it only does on a first connection – such as company name, financial year start date, etc. All of your previous data in BeanBox will be safe, nothing gets lost. These steps just get BeanBox to do an extensive sync instead of the normal sync.
